success at Beta Tech!

Remodeling of the Beta Tech Main Campus has finally started.

After years of planning, almost starting, and delays, the much anticipated expansion and total remodeling of the Beta Tech-main Campus has finally started.

The contractors are feverishly removing the old loading dock, the “freezer” left over from the days the building was used as a restaurant, removing old walls and putting up temporary scaffolding for the entrance. Students are watching the 11,000 square foot expansion with great expectations for the new and larger library, additional and larger medical labs, additional computer labs and classrooms. Students are watching especially for the much larger student lounge with a custom made and built-in vending area. The front of the building is being completely redone to show a modern academic appearance.

The excitement is seen as the instructors and staff show off the blueprint displayed in the lobby. Everything is being redone from the carpet and wallpaper to parking lot renewal. Melissa Schick, the school director, keeps a daily check on the progress. The students, faculty and staff can tell when she is visiting the construction area when they see Ms. Schick wearing her “pink” hardhat.

Watch for the ribbon-cutting ceremony. Plans are being finalized for a large ceremony inviting local officials, the media as well as students, graduates, faculty and staff. Sounds like it will be time for a BIG party!
